Job Description:
- Formulate and communicate youth ministry vision to Pastors, church leaders and parents
- Plan and oversee the implementation of the vision
- Connect with different congregations and understand a multicultural environment to set a sound foundation for the next generation
- Responsible for pulpit ministry, including preaching God’s truth at youth worship service
- Recruit, train, disciple and motivate Youth Ministry co-workers
- Develop missions and community service programs for youths to be involved with.
- Provide pastoral care for Youth Ministry co-workers and youths
- Oversee and support all youth’s ministry and special events
- Set and monitor Youth Ministry budgets
- Develop Sunday School curriculum and teach regularly
- Develop a youth ministry steering committee (i.e. youth workers, parents, and youth leaders) to give unifying direction and vision to all aspects of the youth ministry
- Develop synergy between various CBC campuses
Candidate Description: The Chinese Bible Church of San Diego invites applicants for a full-time Youth Pastor to minister to youths from Mandarin, Cantonese and English speaking congregations. A seminary degree with 2+ years full-time experience or serving in a leadership role for 10+ years in Youth ministry is required. We are seeking a Godly, caring individual with a loving shepherd’s heart for youth, co-workers and parents and a vision for discipleship, evangelism and missions. Good administrative and organization skills a must. It is required that the candidate be fluent in English. Speaks or ability to understand Mandarin or Cantonese would be a plus but not required.
